About Datox
No one builds a business hoping to spend hours dealing with regulatory reporting. But for investment firms and financial institutions, compliance is not optional – it’s essential.
Yet, most reporting tools still feel like outdated spreadsheets wrapped in dashboards. They’re slow, brittle, and disconnected from the real-world complexity that businesses face today. Teams are left juggling formats, tracking requirements across jurisdictions, and hoping they didn’t miss a critical detail that could lead to fines or delays.
At Datox, we’re on a mission to change that. We help businesses simplify and automate their regulatory reporting – across the UK, EU, and beyond – with a platform powered by AI, built for collaboration, and designed for humans.
We’re a growing, VC-backed team of designers, engineers, product thinkers, and domain experts driven by one belief: that regulatory work shouldn’t feel like punishment. With the right tools, it can be streamlined, intuitive, and even empowering.
Join us as we build the future of regulatory reporting.
The Role
Datox is seeking a Senior Product Designer to lead design efforts across our core platform, which enables financial institutions to generate FCA, ESMA, and Form PF reports through intelligent data extraction, transformation, and automation. You will replace our current senior designer and take full ownership of the product design lifecycle – from system design and UX architecture to final UI handoff and implementation review.
What You’ll Do
- Own and evolve the design system to support complex reporting workflows (multi-step data entry, file parsing, AI output editing, validation flows, etc.).
- Design user interfaces for advanced data operations: extraction, transformation, AI mapping, bulk editing, and regulatory report generation.
- Collaborate closely with PMs, engineers, and domain experts to scope and ship features across AI-assisted onboarding, cross-jurisdiction compliance, custom workflow automation, and collaborative review flows.
- Map and optimise user journeys across different regulatory reporting types, jurisdictions (FCA, ESMA, SEC), and reporting periods (quarterly/annual).
- Build scalable design patterns for tables, structured/unstructured file inputs, inline data corrections, and rule-based automation UX.
- Translate complex requirements (e.g. regulatory rules, jurisdictional differences, financial data structures) into intuitive, task-focused UI.
- Conduct internal testing sessions, collect team feedback, and iterate fast on product-level decisions.
- Communicate designs clearly via Figma prototypes, functional specs, and Loom walkthroughs.
- Partner with AI engineers to design prompt-based user actions, confidence-driven UI states, and automated validation feedback.
You’re a fit if you have:
- 5+ years of product design experience, ideally in data-heavy or B2B SaaS platforms
- Strong UX skills and system thinking for complex, multi-layered workflows
- High proficiency in Figma and modern component-based design practices
- Experience designing data import, form validation, file processing, or enterprise dashboards
- Ability to work independently, own decisions, and align cross-functionally
- Bonus: experience with AI/LLM tools, data annotation workflows, or financial reporting systems
Why Join Datox:
- Real product ownership – your decisions shape mission-critical financial software
- Deep collaboration with technical and business leaders
- Fast-paced execution with no bureaucracy
- A product that solves real-world problems with AI and automation
