Complex data in. Trusted reporting out.

Reporting teams spend most of their time on work that does not require judgement: collecting data, reformatting it, applying the same rules again, and checking for the same mistakes. Datox automates that work so that the judgement part gets the attention it deserves.

Origin

Born from firsthand experience inside financial institutions

Datox was founded by people who spent years building in-house regulatory reporting systems inside global financial institutions. We know the pain points, the manual processes, the Excel chaos, the ever-changing rules, the fragmented data, and we built Datox to solve them at scale. That regulatory grounding is still the backbone of the product; what has changed is its scope. The same automation layer now runs financial, fund, investor, management and operational reporting alongside regulatory filings.

  • Founded by practitioners who ran and built reporting systems, not observers of them.
  • Regulatory reporting roots, extended into broader enterprise reporting.
  • Designed around how reporting cycles actually run under a deadline.
The problem

Reporting is a data logistics problem

Most reporting difficulty is not conceptual. Teams know what the report must contain; the effort goes into assembling data from systems that were never designed to work together, and proving the result is right. That work is repetitive, deadline-bound and expensive to staff.

  • Data spread across accounting systems, providers, files and documents.
  • Rules applied in spreadsheets maintained by individuals.
  • Checking done manually and inconsistently under time pressure.
  • No reliable record of how last period's figure was produced.
Our approach

Automate the work, not the accountability

Datox automates extraction, mapping, calculation, validation and packaging. It does not automate judgement or approval. People decide what is acceptable; the platform does the work and evidences it.

Principles

  • Determinism where determinism is required, calculations and rules are configured, not inferred.
  • AI applied to interpretation and investigation, with its output checked.
  • Every figure traceable back to the source that produced it.
  • Nothing is published without a human approval where the process requires one.
  • Reporting logic owned by the business team, not locked in engineering backlogs.
