Almost every reporting problem starts as a consolidation problem: the same entity described differently by three providers, in three formats, with three sets of classifications. Datox resolves that into one model before any reporting logic runs.
How sources are brought together
Identify
Each source is registered with its owner, delivery method, expected content and reporting periods.
Normalise
Identifiers, dates, currencies, classifications and hierarchies are standardised so records from different sources describe the same things the same way.
Enrich
Where source records carry identifiers but little else, ISINs can be resolved against an integrated third-party Security Master and instrument attributes appended, with unmatched or ambiguous identifiers held for review.
Match & merge
Records are matched across sources on configured keys, with conflicts raised rather than resolved arbitrarily.
Reconcile
Totals and key measures are compared across sources and against control figures, with differences flagged as exceptions.
Disagreements between sources are surfaced, not averaged
When two providers report a different figure for the same thing, silently choosing one is how errors enter reporting. Datox treats a conflict as an exception with both values and their evidence visible.
